After a COVID-caused lockdown and over a year of isolation and had-to-be-virtual meetings, and the first ever Zoom ECBA Bee School, the ECBA is back with an in-person meeting. The ECBA will meet at the Woodstock Academy South Campus 150 CT Rt 169 Woodstock CT at 1:30 PM on Sunday July 18, 2021. The meeting will include the annual business meeting, election of officers, discussion of the Brooklyn Fair exhibit, a summer management workshop using the on-site hives and a lesson on how to use the ECBA honey extractor that is available for borrow by members. As well as a chance to see old friends and make some new ones. See you there!

ECBA Bee School 2021

Classes will be held virtually using Zoom on Thursday evenings (7:00 - 8:15 PM) in January and February 2021. This six session series of virtual classes, taught by experienced beekeepers, will focus on the basics of beekeeping and take you from selecting and preparing the necessary equipment to managing your hive as the season progresses. These classes will help you avoid the pitfalls that often derail a beginner's first attempt at this fascinating craft.
