The times for these four part series will be as follows: the first night, registration at 6:30 pm and the class will begin at 7:00 pm and run till 9:30 pm with a break at 8:00 pm. The remaining nights, the class will run from 7:00 to 9:30 pm with a break at 8:00 pm.
These classes will be taught by ECBA members with decades of successful beekeeping experience.
We will focus on the basics of beekeeping and take you from selecting and preparing the necessary equipment to managing your hive as the season progresses. This class will help you avoid the pitfalls that often derail a beginner’s first attempt at this fascinating craft! Don’t buy anything until you participate in this indispensable class!
The cost for this class is $100.00 and includes an ECBA notebook, a reference book ”The Backyard Beekeeper” by Kim Flottum, and your first year’s membership in ECBA. Want to bring you spouse or SO? Add $60.00 for them, you will only get one set of books and handouts per couple. We strongly encourage participants to pre-register before January 25th. After January 25th, please register at the door. Returning members of ECBA who have taken Bee School in a previous year will be allowed to monitor the class for free with no handouts as long as we have room in the class. New registrants will have priority as the class will be limited to the first 100 students at each location.
